A first for one of our long time favorite menswear brands, Todd Snyder is finally diving into swimwear with the launch of two styles: The Montauk Short and The Riviera Short—each available in an array of classic colors and bolder prints, and most importantly, in a perfectly flattering length (you can go right ahead and toss those ankle-length board shorts now).
Borrowing luxe details from gentleman’s tailoring—think: tab button closures, coin pockets and adjustable side tabs—the American designer’s swimwear offering is a sophisticated, modern refresh on a summer staple.

The Riviera Swim Short is the newest addition, with a flattering modern fit, fine mesh lining, vented hem, and the embroidered TS logo. The back pocket zips shut and two drainage eyelets keep the suit’s shape when you’re swimming. Designed to look great whether hitting the beach or lounging at the pool bar, it has a 7” inseam and is available in 7 colors and patterns ranging from $228 – $248.
The Montauk Swimsuit is a sophisticated, modern take on a classic surf short. Details include an elastic waist and drawcord with metal tips, two side pockets, a self-draining back pocket with a velcro closure and key holder (so you can secure your car key before hitting the surf). It has a 5” inseam, meant to hit mid-thigh, and is available in 14 colors and patterns ranging from $118 – $128.
“The decision to move into our own swimwear was an easy one, especially after seeing the incredible demand for it at our East Hampton store and with swim collaborations with other brands over the years.”— Todd Snyder
With a lot of requests for swim from their customers, the brand deliberately took its time, devoting the utmost attention to quality and fit before introducing swim as a category. “Any brand can launch swim, but what you are getting from Todd Snyder, especially at this price point, makes us stand out in the market,” tells us Alejandro Rhett, Chief Product Officer of Todd Snyder.
“Quality and fit is always essential, and most importantly, it needs to meet the customers’ needs. We want the brand to be a one-stop shop for the modern gentleman, so that when they come in to buy our famous Seasoft Linen shirting or sweater polos, they can now see swimwear they know they’ll immediately love.” — Todd Snyder
The TS Swim Collection is available online and in all stores.
