Craftsman Co. first came on the scene in 2015 with a mission to make beautifully made, materially superior outerwear at accessible prices. With the motto “less is more” and a focus on quality, the brand specializes in making timeless every day, wearable, rugged pieces that feel as tailored and luxurious as a well-made suit.
With this goal in mind, Craftsman Co.’s founders Tobe and TC teamed up with LEO Editor-in-Chief and men’s celebrity stylist Ilaria Urbinati—whose clients include Ryan Reynolds, Rami Malek, Donald Glover, Chris Evans and Dwayne Johnson, to name a few—in order to bring her eye, taste and experience to the drafting table and help design this one-of-a kind, limited edition capsule collection.
The inspiration behind the collection: the old Hollywood stuntmen of yore, lending a rugged sensibility mixed with a throwback glamour and a tangible sense of luxury to each piece. The 16-piece capsule consists of classic silhouettes such as flight jackets, shearling ranch coats, a butter-soft unlined “shacket”, ribbed knits, and a pleated take on the brand’s long-time staple, the Gurkha trouser, rendered in corduroy, year-round cotton and linen, and Japanese selvedge.
With many of the fabrics sourced from Japan, the collection blends the best of tailoring and sportswear together.
Urbinati went for a rich, warm color palette of forest greens, deep royal blues and various shades of brown from tobacco to cognac and tans, giving the collection a definitive Autumn feeling.
“I wanted to design pieces I could see myself dressing my clients in but that were timeless enough for any guy to not only buy, but keep in his wardrobe for many years to come.”
